Denmark's Rock Museum, RAGNAROCK

Look forward to a different kind of museum experience at RAGNAROCK – a vibrant music experimentarium where you can hear, see and feel your way through the history of rhythmic music. From rock’n’roll to pop and today’s beats – with an exciting glimpse into the music of the future.

This is the story of a youth generation creating its very own culture, communicating globally through music, and having a profound impact on the development of society.

RAGNAROCK is also an exciting interactive museum experience, where visitors can explore music hands-on.

World-class architecture

The museum rises in striking golden tones above Roskilde’s new creative district, Musicon, located just a stone’s throw from the permanent site of the legendary Roskilde Festival, Northern Europe's largest music festival. RAGNAROCK’s iconic building was designed by acclaimed architects from MVRDV (Netherlands) and COBE (Denmark), and its bold architecture, both inside and out, reflects the story and spirit the museum conveys.

Café, shop and events

RAGNAROCK hosts an exciting programme of events throughout the year – from concerts, films and children’s activities to talks, exhibitions and corporate gatherings.

If you need a break, relax in the museum’s café, which focuses on Danish ingredients and quality culinary craftsmanship. You can also explore the museum shop, offering a variety of unique items such as stylish T-shirts, hoodies, gold mugs, leather belts, books, postcards and much more. The shop is the only place where you can buy the original Roskilde Festival Posters – in limited editions and reprints.

Entry to the café and shop is free. Tickets for the museum exhibitions and events can also be purchased at the shop.
