Búzio Taberna

Portuguese taverna in Nørrebro, serving wine, small dishes and beer in small glasses to live up to the informal and relaxed Portuguese drinking tradition - in extremely beautiful and exclusive settings.

The bar was created by three friends with a shared passion for Portugal and everything it reflects. The result is Búzio, which exudes an authentic Portuguese spirit intertwined with a deep respect for the country's beer and wine tradition, art imported from local artists, the use of craftsmanship and materials that celebrate the country's traditional methods and most importantly, the laid back lifestyle.

Búzio is inspired by the owners' favourite bars in Portugal, both in terms of interior design and the concept in general. You can tell at the very first glance at the large yucca tree planted in the middle of the room as well as the bar's beautiful marble surfaces - a tribute to Portugal's long tradition of using this material, known for its high quality and varying color shades. The walls are adorned with shiny white tiles hand-painted by a Portuguese artist whose navy-blue motives, with a close attention to detail and precision, evoke antiquity.

But even though Búzio's authentic soul makes you dream about Southern Europe, don't be fooled by the fact that you're right in the centre of Nørrebro, which is characterised by its vibrant street life and social atmosphere. In fact, the venue used to be an old launderette. And it's precisely the contrast between Portuguese and Copenhagen culture - the traditional and authentic setting combined with a modern, Scandinavian and stylish twist - that makes Búzio a unique wine bar you won't run into on every street corner.

Búzio is the place for those who prefer to have their beer served in smaller glasses, so it's always cold and fresh, rather than a large draft beer. And for those who want to experience a little piece of Portugal in the middle of one of Copenhagen's most beloved neighbourhoods. And last but not least those who appreciate a good glass of wine, Portuguese of course, in cosy and beautiful surroundings.
