Rabalder Parken
In the heart of Musicon in Roskilde lies Rabalder Park – an award-winning urban park that blends play, recreation, and climate adaptation. Designed as a rainwater management system, the park also serves as a creative urban space for both children and adults.
The park offers everything from trampolines, swings, and hammocks to outdoor fitness equipment and barbecue areas. A large basin and an architecturally designed water staircase manage the rainwater through the area while creating an atmospheric setting for relaxation and socialising.
Things to experience
You can skate in the rainwater channels winding through the park or simply take a break in the hammocks by the lake. There is also space for picnics and ball games on the green areas, and the hills offer views and shelter. No matter the season, there is always something to do – and always free admission.
Architecture and awards
Rabalder Park is known for its sustainable and innovative urban planning. It has received several awards, including the Sustainable Concrete Award, the Urban Planning Prize, and a recognition in the Children’s Record Book. Additionally, the park has been a finalist in international competitions for both design and climate adaptation.
